The Park Mark award is given to car parking facilities that have demonstrated that they are concerned with safety procedures and have taken steps to ensure their site is secured. The scheme is managed by the British Parking Association and fully supported by the Home Office and Scottish Government.

In order to win the award, the car park has to be vetted by police and measures have been taken to deter anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.
